How to go to La Union

If you are going to use your own car or van, you need to traverse North Luzon Expressway. Here’s the direction from Google Maps:

1) Take C-3 to E1/R-8 in Balintawak, Quezon City

2) Follow E1/R-8 and N Luzon W Expy to Tarlac – Pangasinan – La Union Expy in Urdaneta

3) Continue on Tarlac – Pangasinan – La Union Expy

4) Take MacArthur Hwy/Manila N Rd to San Fernando By-Pass Rd in San Fernando

You can go to La Union through public transportation as well. Several bus lines are bound for San Fernando from various terminals in Manila. From San Fernando, you may ride a jeepney going to San Juan.

Rent a car or van is also available, though this will depend on the budget, company, and availability. If you are five or six in the group, you may split the van rental fee to make it cheaper for everyone.

The total travel time is about 1 hour and 40 minutes depending on traffic.
